I went to the grocery store yesterday afternoon. Thankfully David met me there.....I will tell you why in a minute. Caleb wanted to have NO part in being IN the basket. He wanted to PUSH the basket.
Here he is pushing the basket.
Im so happy David met me at Wal-Mart because Caleb is at the brink of becoming hard to handle by myself when he starts throwing a fit. We got a small taste of what is to come towards the end of our trip. Caleb wnated something (who knows what) and since he didnt get it, the "thowdown" occured. You parents know what Im talking about. Their legs become useless, contant complaining starts, and the world is over in their eyes. You try to pick them up so you can walk out of the store, I mean sneak out of the store, all the while they are STILL fighting you while you are holding them. It becomes a chore to put them in the car seat as well. Mainly because they keep arching their backs and poping out before you have a chance to buckle them in.

this is MY CHAIR!
David and I are walking around Home Goods last week, and I see the cute chair. Its the perfect size for Caleb. I take Caleb out of the stroller to walk around. Do you know this little stinker walks straight to the chair and sits in it. He knew exactly what mommy was thinking. After I saw him in it, I had to get it. We bring it home and put it in the living room. He has a blast sitting in his chair like a big boy and watching TV.
Well, this weekend I was trying to put a cover on it to protect it from the drrol, food, and dirt I know he will get on it. So far it doesnt matter what I cover it with, he hates it and tries to take it off. Ive tried a towel, a sheet, towel then sheet....it doesnt matter because he KNOWS its covered. Guess Im gonna have to look for a stiped flat sheet to cover it with, mayeb that will fool him...doubt it.

Playground Fun
Mimi and Grandpa came in this weekend. On Sat. David went to the air show with my dad, David's dad, and Timothy. Caleb, Mimi, and I went to the Goddard School Fall Festival. We had a great time! This is Caleb's new daycare that he will start 1st of November.
Here we are on the train....
Caleb on the Goddard School playground. He refused to look at me.

Later on Sat. Mimi and I took Caleb to the playground in our subdivision. He loves going down the slide, and climbing up the steps. He even made a friend with another little girl there. They were chatting it up at the tic-tac-toe board. Caleb has Payton's blood, because he decided to adopt-a-dad! The girls father was there, and after Caleb finished his converstaion with the girl, he raised his arms for the dad to pick him up. He was very nice and picked him up and sat him on his lap. I couldnt seem to get a picture of this b/c I was too busy laughing.

Sick!
Our poor Caleb monster....he really has had it rough the past couple of days.
He started with a fever on Thursday afternoon. Friday the fever was still there so off to the doc we go. They did a nasal swab and confirmed he had the flu. UGH! I hate that tamaflu is $50 WITH INSURANCE! Anyways. Caleb had everythign with the flu....runny nose, coughing, fever, chills, and didnt want to eat. He loved his water or juice and he would eat puffs, but thats about it.
He still felt crumy Sunday night, so David and I decided to keep him at Abita's for Monday. David's mom started seeing a rash develop that looked just like measles. My next thought is ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?! My little man has the flu, leave him alone! Off to the doc again. Thank goodness he doesnt have the measles, he has roseola. Roseola is a virus that "has been going around" according to the doc. Its just a virus that will run its course, and you get it like you get a cold. After the rash appears, you arent contagious anymore, so that was good news. Roseola usually only affects kids between 6mo - 3 years. Once you get roseola, you beomce immune to it, so you wont get it again.
Today is one more day at home, just to make sure hes feeling better.
Here is Caleb on Sat. with the flu :(
His diet consisted of puffs, ritz crackers, water and juice.
